WOMEN WHO TOOK INDIA TO MARS

THE FUTURE IS FEMALE!

Women’s empowerment can be defined as promoting women’s sense of self-worth, ability to determine their own choices, and right to influence social change for themselves and others. It’s all about having authority or power in the hands of women sharing indistinguishable rights. Hence, it is essential to understand that women are not only meant to clean utensils and make rice with beans. They also have their aspirations, emotions, and most importantly life. Sadly, we forget this thing that needs to be remembered.

There is a big misconception and a terrible myth in people’s minds, especially men. This misconception is that it has been written in the Indian constitution that all household chores are meant for women only!

Women are meant for all those things a man wants without restrictions, myths, and horrible man-made philosophies.

‘The woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.” – Diane Mariechild, writer.

Similarly, this is something every woman should read and observe – THE WOMEN WHO TOOK INDIA TO MARS!

Two years ago, as Indian scientists successfully put a satellite into orbit around Mars, a photograph went viral. It shows women dressed in gorgeous saris with flowers in their hair celebrating at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bangalore.

These enthusiastic women were scientists and the photograph challenged the stereotype that rocket science in India was a male preserve. Who might consider that rocket science, ISRO, the Indian air force, and defense services are not for women? There is a slap on their face and a slap on their thoughts here.

The Wikipedia page on women scientists in India claims, “Women scientists are fewer in number than men, they occupy fewer positions of power and face distinct issues because of their gender and the consequences of societal pressures.”

”Women scientists in India also tend to be less visible than their male equivalents, and public awareness of Indian women scientists is low.”

It allowed the country to see women scientists upfront for the first time, challenging the stereotype of the fuzzy-haired Einsteinian male scientist. The mission had a team of about 500 people working to succeed. However, a major driving force behind the mission is women.”You know, Mars is for men. Now we have proved that Mars is not only for men, said Arunan (Subbiah Arunan is an Indian scientist and Padma Shri awardee, known for his role in the Mars Orbiter Mission of the Indian Space Research Organisation). Arunan, the mission’s project director, also credited the women scientists’ contingency plans for the accuracy of the minute calculations involved. He was proud that women scientists played an integral role in this.

Ritu Karidhal, Nandini Harinath, Anuradha TK, Moumita Dutta, and Minal Rohit were some of the women who played a crucial role. Minnie Vaid’s book Those Magnificent Women and Their Flying Machines highlights women scientists’ efforts toward Mangalyaan’s success.

The world needs to understand that dreams, thinking, education, flying, and living a life are fundamental human rights irrespective of gender, caste, religion, and cheap myths. In the future, it’s me, she, and her. Thus, it is essential that she has access to education, which is an essential right and necessity. It is unnecessary to mention causes here since everyone is aware of them. Let’s quickly move on to solutions.

How can we eliminate female illiteracy in India?

> FREE EDUCATION

> INCREASED INVESTMENT IN GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

> CHANGING SOCIAL NORMS

> ORGANIZE AWARENESS PROGRAMS

> TEACHER TRAINING

> CREATING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT

In order to maintain balance in life, it is critical to recognize how education can enhance thinking, observational ability, aspirations, and happiness. These real-life stories can inspire millions of girls who are afraid to think, take action, and stand against the odds. It is better to share positive content on social media or websites rather than just memes to motivate others.

Give women rights and bring them ahead
